 Energy Efficiency Research & Training

Training – YTL  PowerSeraya Public Company Ltd. , Singapore   (June 2010 – Present)
SA’s team is responsible for design, development and facilitation of a energy conservation training course and curriculum for YTL PowerSeraya’s Responsible Energy Advocate Programme (REAP); which is a continuous leadership training programme targeted at tertiary level university students in order to engage them as leading change agents for reducing Singapore’s Carbon Footprint.

E – Inc. / Research Institute of Innovative Technologies for the Earth , Japan  
(October 2010 – January 2012)

Research Team Leader for energy efficiency research for the Research Institute of Innovative Technologies for the Earth (RITE) in Indonesia Thailand and India.  The research consisted of desktop and 17 face-to-face interviews with government, private sector and academic experts familiar with policy, purchasing and procurement behaviours and environmental awareness in industrial product sectors or consumer durable product sectors in Indonesia with respect to energy efficiency technology. Separate country reports were prepared for both countries, along with a comparative report of the energy efficiency situation in Indonesia, India, and Thailand in English and Japanese for the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Economy, Government of Japan.

Singapore Environment Institute (SEI), Green Office Training Programme for ASEAN Partnership Programme   (August 2008 – February 2009)
Lead Trainer/Facilitator – SA was responsible for developing and facilitating a series of 5-day intensive training programs for government officials in four ASEAN countries: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam on Green Office – Resource Efficiency.  Sponsored by Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these workshops introduced officials to the AtKisson ISIS Method and Accelerator tools, and get them working on strategies to "green" their office environments, taking into account the full Compass perspective of Nature, Economy, Society and Wellbeing.
